Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Worldwide Church of God in the late 1930s, as well as Ambassador College in 1946, and was an early pioneer of radio and tele-evangelism, originally taking to the airwaves in the 1930s from Eugene, Oregon.

The Communist PLOT to seize control of the Suez and dominate Arab countries is spreading in Syria, Egypt and Jordan. Will the "Eisenhower Doctrine" force Russia to retreat, or will it precipitate World War III in the Middle East? Communism is rapidly spreading its ugly tentacles in the Middle East. Britain's life-line has almost been severed. Now the United States has stepped into the Near East crisis with the "Eisenhower Doctrine." The United States is guaranteeing every country that will accept our aid economic and military protection against communism. Jordan has accepted it. Other Arab countries are divided. Some are afraid of American Imperialism! Does this struggle between America and the USSR in the eastern Mediterranean mean that Russia is about to launch a surprise atomic and hydrogen bomb attack to wipe out Western Civilization?
